Hepburn Hits Clutch Shot To Propel Badgers To Big Ten Title In 70-67 Win

The Chucky Hepburn Game.

6'2" true freshman Chucky Hepburn had a game to remember with the Big Ten regular season title on the line. 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and with a career high 17 points, Hepburn hit the biggest shot of his life, banking in a three pointer with the game tied and 1.5 seconds left on the clock to put away a 70-67 victory for the Wisconsin Badgers that clinched the top spot in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament.

Tyler Wahl also had a game to remember, scoring 19 points and going 8-of-14 from the field while battling Purdue's big all night long.

Johnny Davis had a casual 16 points to go along with, hitting a number of mid-range shots and drawing double teams from Purdue.

Purdue's offense ran through Jaden Ivey and Zach Edey. Edey, Purdue's 7'4" center was able to have his way in the paint for the most part, but missed some key layups and dunk attempts down the stretch, giving Wisconsin the breathing room they needed to come out on top.

After Hepburn hit the wild three pointer off the backboard to give Wisconsin the late lead, it was up to an inbound for Purdue with a chance to tie it, but the inbound pass was intercepted by Tyler Wahl and the celebration was on in Madison as the student section stormed the court to celebrate the Big Ten championship.

Wisconsin's final regular season game will be on Sunday against Nebraska, who just knocked off Ohio State. The Badgers will have the top seed when the Big Ten Tournament begins. It's March, and it's about to get crazy.
