Green Bay Packers 2022 NFL Mock Draft Roundup

The 2022 NFL Draft is finally upon us. All of the waiting and speculation about which draft prospects will go to which teams will soon be over. The Green Bay Packers, with their two first round picks, have an incredible opportunity to build their roster back up.

There are a couple key areas of need, wide receiver, edge rusher, and offensive line that will need to be addressed in the Draft this year. Most mock drafts have some combination of those positions being covered in the first round. But which players do the mocks have donning the Green and Gold this fall?

Here's a roundup of 2022 NFL Mock Drafts from across the Internet and who they have the Packers selecting in the first round.

CBS Sports

22. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

28. Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

Burks' skillset and style of play makes him a great fit for the Packers offense and a popular selection for Green Bay in these mock drafts. Nakobe Dean was one of the key leaders on the National Champion Georgia defense and should be able to make an impact on the Packers defense on Day 1.

Bucky Brooks 4.0

22. Bernhard Raimann, OT, Central Michigan

28. Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

Brooks has the Packers ignoring wide receiver altogether in the first round, going with an offensive lineman to help replace Lucas Patrick who left in free agency and then adding a different linebacker from the vaunted Georgia defense in Quay Walker.

Matt Miller, ESPN

22. Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A&M

28. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Matt Miller gives the Packers an offensive lineman first, targeting Kenyon Green in a shallow guard class while depending on the quality depth of the receiver class to ensure they still get a good target at 28, and they still land Burks there.

Daniel Jeremiah 4.0

22. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

28. Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

This is the third time we've seen a Treylon Burks pick and the second time we've seen Walker go to the Packers.

Charles Davis 3.0

22. Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

28. George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Despite the trendy selection of Treylon Burks still being on the board at 22 in Davis' mock draft, he has the Packers taking Penn State wideout Jahan Dotson instead. To finish the first round, Davis has the Packers sticking in the Big Ten with Purdue pass rusher George Karlaftis.

Walter Football

22. Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

28. David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

David Ojabo did suffer an Achilles injury at Michigan's pro day preparing for the draft and will miss the first half of the 2022 season, but he's a big talent that can take over a game when healthy.

The Ringer

22. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

28. Lewis Cine, S, Georgia

Tally another pick for Treylon Burks and he's paired with another Georgia defender, this time it's safety Lewis Cine. The Packers don't have an immediate need for a safety at the moment but the talent fits the selection here.

The Draft Network

22. George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

28. George Pickens, WR, Georgia

A lot of potential picks from the National Champion Georgia Bulldogs with wideout George Pickens being the selection in this mock at 28 and edge rusher George Karlaftis going early at 22. The Cardinals, who pick at 23, have a big need at edge rusher, making a selection at edge early a potentially wise move for Brian Gutekunst.

The Draft Zone

22. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

28. Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia

Another mock draft, another combo of Treylon Burks and a defensive player from the Georgia Bulldogs, this time with defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

Tankathon

22. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

28. Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

Most mocks have had Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave off the board before the Packers are on the clock. In this scenario, Olave is still there and the Packers jump at the chance to take him. They combine that with his college rival, former Wolverine safety Daxton Hill.

Yahoo Sports

22. Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia

28. George Pickens, WR, Georgia

Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports has the Packers raiding the roster of the National Championship Georgia squad, selecting both Wyatt and Pickens in the first round, filling two huge needs.

Sports Illustrated - Breer

22. Quay Walker, LB, Georgia

28. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

We've seen both Walker and Burks in multiple mock drafts and both have been going back and forth between 22 overall and 28 overall.

Fox Sports

22. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

28. Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota

Another selection of Treylon Burks, but this time explosive Minnesota pass rusher Boye Mafe goes to the Packers at 28 overall.

Sporting News

22. Drake London, WR, USC

28. Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

Sporting News has the Packers doubling up at wide receiver in the first round. Drake London is projected by most to be gone by 22 overall but he would be an absolute steal if he falls this far.

USA Today

22. Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

28. George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Another mock draft has Olave falling into the Packers laps here at 22 and Karlaftis ends up falling to 28 for Green Bay as well. This would be close to a dream scenario for the Packers if they could grab these two players in the first round.

Acme Packing Company

22. Drake London, WR, USC

28. Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

Drake London falling to 22 would again be a dream scenario for the Packers and one that would be impossible for Gutekunst to pass up given the need at wide receiver. Hill once again gets selected to Green Bay at 28 and could be a sneaky option for the Packers despite safety not being the largest need.

Pro Football Focus

22. Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

28. Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

One of the few mocks that does not include a wide receiver for Green Bay. Instead they fortify the offensive line with Tyler Smith and the improve the depth of the secondary with Daxton Hill and can focus on the depth of talent at edge rusher and receiver in the second round.

Soon on Thursday night, we will have our answers as to what the Green Bay Packers will do in the first round. By these mocks, most expect at least one wide receiver coming to Green Bay, but that's far from an absolute certainty. Wide Receiver, offensive line, pass rusher, and safety are the main positions the Packers are likely to address early in the 2022 NFL Draft based on these mocks.
