Craving a sweet treat? There's no better way to cool down on a warm summer day than a scoop (or two!) of your favorite ice cream. Whether you prefer a tried-and-true classic flavor like chocolate or vanilla or an overloaded option piled high with toppings like nuts or caramel, in a bowl or in a cone, there are plenty of incredible creameries and shops around the Badger State that are worth a visit.

Using reviews, awards and accolades as well as first-hand experience, LoveFood compiled a list of the "best ice cream parlor" in every state, the shops that have become a go-to for customers with a sweet-tooth or those looking to beat the heat with a frozen treat.

According to the site, the best ice cream parlor in all of Wisconsin is Kelley Country Creamery. This Fond du Lac shop has been scooping out delicious flavors to customers in America's Dairlyand for nearly 15 years. Kelley Country Creamery, which has a 4.8 star rating on Google and more than 2,500 reviews, is located at W5215 County Road B.

Here's what LoveFood had to say about this popular spot:

"The Kelley family's Fond du Lac farm has been around since 1861, but it only started producing ice cream in 2011. Now customers come from far and wide to sample a taste, and to soak up the relaxing farm atmosphere. Flavors include banana cream pie, blueberry, and carrot cake. There are picnic tables overlooking the farmland, or you can bring your own lawn chairs, and there'a viewing window where you can watch the ice cream being made."
